As President, I welcome you and invite your partnership as we advance advocacy, leadership, and opportunity for Black women and girls together. Together, we are committed to strengthening our community through education, health initiatives, economic empowerment, and purposeful advocacy.
It has been said that a successful leader is one who understands what motivates people and can get them to participate in meeting a group’s purpose and goals. A successful leader gives others the opportunity not only to participate in the planning and execution, but along the way provides opportunities for them to learn and grow without criticism or fear. A successful leader makes sure each participant fully understands their part and its relation to the group effort and motivates them to want to carry it out. These are the kinds of leaders we have in the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Greater Knoxville Chapter.
